Procrastination

I am not a procrastinator!! I came home tonight to work on a quiz that is not due until Friday and homework in Math. I just happened to open up my computer class to see that I had a whole stinkin chapter due tonight by 11:59! At that time it was after 9. I did not panic...I just started to work. And it was finished by 11:30. I am now exhausted, a bit too tired to sleep.

I know there is spiritual application I could make out of this, but right now, I have zero brain cells left to accomplish that.

Happy Thursday :)

We are all called...

This week I had the privilege of serving alongside family and friends in the inner city of our states capital. It is hard to believe it has been 3 years since my last trip. My heart was overwhelmed at the sight of my grown son letting kids climb all over him, giving away his hat and sunglasses (though the glasses boomaranged back)playing basketball, football, and basically doing whatever needed to be done for anyone who needed him. And baby girl waggin around kids that weighed as much as she did, packing food bags, backpacks, blowing bubbles, hula-hooping, waiting in line with a precious girl to make sure she got a backpack, picking up trash and wiping tears from the eyes of the kids she loved on as we left.

God performed a miracle in keeping my tears to a minimum while there. Our church has an awesome mission leader who has a passion to go. Her vision has now shown fruit of the labor as the adults now trust us enough to come out and join us for three days in the hot, Alabama sun.

I am not sure of the number of those that received Christ as their personal Savior but I am sure there were 67 people on mission that showed the love of Christ to a place where some have little hope. I was blessed to be a small part of this amazing trip and am counting the days till next year. All the glory is His and His alone.

Blogging...

Apparently I am too busy to post anything besides pictures, or is it that I have nothing really profound to say but pictures are worth a thousand words??

Anyway, to let you know I am alive. We just completed Esther, Its Tough Being a Woman and I can tell you that it is one of the best Bible Studies I have ever done. The title says ALOT!! We had the best group of faithful ladies. God blessed me with an "along with" in this study to handle PR and organization. She was the BOMB!! I could not have made it without her! To sum up the study..Fear Not, you are to Trust God Period...and He gives us a Reversal of Destiny! If you get the chance, do the study!!

Summer is filled with family and fun. We are having a blast swimming and playing together this summer. And in all my free time I am taking 3 more classes. Yes, pray! I have Math...AGAIN!! Sometimes I grasp it and then sometimes NOT so much!

God is faithful. We have lifted our cares to Him and He is handling them a WHOLE lot better than we ever could. We have seen him work in several of the situations already. His timing is always best.

Enough rambling...just thought if anyone still read this, their inquiring minds would really care...probably not! But have a blessed week anyway!

Blessed!!

This was the best weekend ever! It started Friday with a surprise party for Amber. She was truly surprised. Our family drove down from Ohio and the look on her face when she saw them was priceless. We have the greatest friends and family that opened their home to us and took time out of their busy lives to celebrate with us. Thank you guys so much. You have no idea how much this meant to us!

Saturday, we spent all day just hanging out with the family. We have not done this in years. We laughed till we cried. It was the best!

Today was our Baccularte service at church. Usually I am very emotional, but I think I cried enough during church. My girl is graduating and she is so ready. It was a blessed service. A perfect way to end an awesome weekend.
